So, today does indeed mark another MONDAY HOLIDAY UPDATE!
It also happens to be a ~very important~ holiday for me, which I'll digress about in a seperate blog. The far less important holiday would be Best Friends Day, but I would never dream of making a best friend seem any less important, so don't tell your Best Friend I said that. Make sure you call your bestie up, give 'em a hug, and share the love!

One of the most famous best-friend duos in entertainment history has to be Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, and that crotchety old duck (he's 75 years old...tuesday!) has his own holiday tomorrow. Since it is indeed his birthday and thusly Donald Duck Day, make sure you don't forget him. He always gets quite grumpy...but that's why everyone loves him!
Wednesday's holiday is supposed to be National Iced Tea Day...but I'm not about to reccomend anyone go out and drink Iced Tea. Especially since it's not in the Word of Wisdom. So, on Wednesday, I suggest you observe the holiday by being strong and drinking lemonade with plenty of ice instead!
oh my gosh. Thursday's holiday is not only legit, it is also amazing!!! This Thursday is Hug Holiday, started by the beautiful people at Hugs For Health, and you should know how to celebrate it. It's designed for focus on those who feel a little unloved, but everywhere you go, hugs show extra love. :) There's very little that can cheer anyone up like a hug. Just maybe...don't hug a stranger. You might get rewarded with a restraining order, a purse-to-the-head, or some other unfavorable reaction.
Thursday is also when I leave for Youth Conference (WOOHOO), so I'll be sure to spread the huglove.
One of my favorite kinds of holidays is always the romantic kind, and if you've failed in the past, Friday is a great day to make it up with Red Rose Day! A Single Red Rose is a very popular kind of gift to show love (as well as the title of about 50 sleezy romance novels, I'm sure), as are roses by the dozen. But why not spice it up and give your loved one five red roses! Maybe fourteen! Adds spontaneity to a very romantic gift...since the holiday isn't spontaneous enough ;).Saturday is Sewing Machine Day, and happens to be the one-week anniversary to the lucky Joe who bought our old Sewing Machine for $5 at the garage sale. So this should be an especially special holiday for him, and any other ladies and gents with skill in the sewing persuasion! Sewing Machines are so amazing, they really do deserve a holiday to the
mselves. Can you imagine how difficult, time-consuming, and expensive it would be to get clothes that were stitched by hand? Sheesh. Sewing machines can have all the holidays they want!

This Sunday is Flag Day, up there with Memorial Day and July 4th as one of the most popular Nationally acclaimed USA-related summer holidays. But nobody knows how to celebrate this one...except flying their flag. But as someone who loves flags, holidays, and America...this is a perfectly suitable way for me. :) And about the picture...I'm well aware it's not 1917, but this is a beautiful picture. :) And I bet they had better flag day parties than they will in 2017
"One more Day!" can be found in Les Miserables and should be celebrated Sunday!
